For more than three decades the Atrium Bar at The Star Gold Coast has been the city’s go-to venue for fun nights on the dancefloor, and now the beloved venue is about to undergo an epic makeover in a brand new location.

Lifting the lid on the future of what has undeniably become a Gold Coast institution, The Star has today announced there are big plans for the bar that many locals have formed fond connections to over the years.  

The current Atrium Bar, which has been a cherished part of The Star Gold Coast property since originally opening as a piano bar in 1986, will close in mid-July with the lively new Atrium Bar to open elsewhere on property  at the end of August.

With its bright, bold, colourful new design, comfy lounge booths perfect for watching the action unfold, a classic and fun cocktail menu, and dancefloor complete with mirror ball, the Atrium Bar facelift will deliver fresh, party vibes.

The Atrium Bar has become the keeper of many stories and the creator of many lasting memories over its fun-filled 35-year history. Most notable is its undeniable flair for playing cupid, with the bar sparking the beginning of countless love stories, relationships and marriages. 

It is those stories and the Atrium Bar’s affinity for bringing people together that The Star Gold Coast promises to carry through to the revitalised venue, all while injecting a little extra colour and spice to its new space.

After 35 incredible, memorable years in its current location, The Star is once again turning the page on an exciting new chapter that will honour the fun, playful energy synonymous with the Atrium Bar brand.

The new Atrium Bar will offer a dedicated live music venue that promises to have partygoers feeling celebrated and alive whatever the occasion, with live DJs Thursday through Sunday playing everyone’s favourite top 100, classic anthems and epic mashups.

Just like the original  bar, the new Atrium Bar will be the perfect location for after work drinks, birthday celebrations, fun nights out with friends, girls’ nights and guys’ nights, and with special parties planned year round it will still be the place to  meet new friends and potential new matches, and dance the night away.
