In an epic 80s revival, the stars of Absolutely 80s will take to The Theatre stage at The Star Gold Coast on Friday 23 July for one unmissable night only for the show’s Made in Australia Tour.

The two-hour high-octane show is a trip down memory lane and a guaranteed showstopper.

Absolutely 80s features an incredible line-up of some of the nation’s most iconic purveyors of pop and rock including Brian Mannix (Uncanny X-Men), Scott Carne (Kids In The Kitchen), Ally Fowler (The Chantozies), David Sterry (Real Life), Fred Loneragan (Machinations) and Wibur Wilde (Hey Hey It’s Saturday).

Firing up the nostalgia, the artists will perform their own big hits including Everybody Wants To Work, Change In Mood, Send Me An Angel, No Say In It, Current Stand, 50 Years, Wanna Be Up, Catch Me I’m Falling, Pressure Sway, Witch Queen, Hit & Run and loads more 80s classic chart-toppers.

The Made In Australia Tour also pays tribute to Australia’s great frontmen of rock – Michael Hutchence, Marc Hunter, James Freud and more, while unearthing smash hits from INXS, Models, Dragon, Split Enz, Mondo Rock and Dragon!

“It’s great to be on the Gold Coast and even better to be performing at The Star with such a great show… I’m so excited, it’s a good thing I’m wearing stretched denim!” – Brian Mannix of Uncanny X-Men

Igniting a surge of remembrance, Absolutely 80s is an electric celebration of the musical pioneers whose artistry was pivotal in painting the very colourful, cutting-edge landscape of Australia’s golden era in music.
