The Gold Coast’s lifestyle and entertainment mecca, Cali Beach is transforming into one of Australia’s largest winter wonderlands. Cali Beach will be unveiled as The Rooftop Lodge on Saturday, 3rd June 2023, and will activate its winter rooftop for just 12 weeks, every Friday to Sunday, from 11am to late.

The owners, Artesian Hospitality, have created a $350,000 new-look venue within the site of Cali Beach, including a state-of-the-art ice-skating rink, open fire pits, ice-hockey machines, an interactive simulator, pop-up performances, market food stalls and more. With something for everyone, The Rooftop Lodge will boast a selection of offerings tailored to suit every taste and agenda- come for an hour, or come for the day, with variety of walk-in seating and dining options, or packages for those looking to indulge.

The Rooftop Lodge invites guests to sample cuisine and cocktails amongst 60 snow topped trees, fire pits and faux snow- it’s an experience synonymous with dining amongst the Swiss Alps or sipping at a bar in Whistler. What is winter without ice skating? The volleyball courts have been tucked away for the season and replaced with a state-of-the-art, purpose-built ice-skating rink, for guests to enjoy all winter-long, whilst gliding to their favourite anthems.

For those looking for a casual bite to eat, the market stalls provide a warming selection of charcuterie boards, fondues, as well as pillowy marshmallows to roast by the fires. Dine-in bookings are also available at the View Deck and offer guests a specially crafted Winter menu, paired perfectly with frosty showstoppers like the Snowball Martini, Elsa Slushy or Lit Cocoa.

For those with a fancy flair, The Rooftop Lodge has partnered with Veuve Clicquot for ‘Clicquot in the Snow’- an exclusive igloo experience for you and up to six friends, where Veuve Clicquot décor and liquor are centre stage. This experience includes express entry, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, a signature winter cocktail for each guest and food platter, for just $350. The Veuve Clicquot igloos are for private use and contain all the cosy furnishing to make you feel like you’ve just stepped into a toasty mountain chalet.

Similarly, Cali’s iconic cabanas will be converted into luxury alpine lodges with new facades, firepits and décor, reminiscent of a Swiss ski village- VIP style of course; and complete with fully functioning hot tubs. Ideal for groups of up to 25 people, and those who are looking for a more indulgent experience, the lodges can be upgraded to come with your own bar staff, bottle service and delectable cuisine.

The Winter Lodge won’t be short of activities, with ice-hockey machines and an interactive simulator available to warm guests from the inside-out; and if that doesn’t do the trick, firepits and blankets will be available throughout all free standing and seating areas, as well as specially designed, feather down jackets for purchase.
