Opening on Wednesday 21st May at TRYP by Wyndham Southport Gold Coast
A fresh new flavour is landing in Southport as Rossa Pizzeria & Bar opens to the public on Wednesday, 21st May at the recently opened TRYP by Wyndham Southport Gold Coast on Meron Street. Located on the ground floor, Rossa is a casual Italian eatery dishing up wood-fired classics and bold modern bites daily from 12pm to 9pm.
Operating independently from the adjoining Amore Restaurant, Rossa sets the tone for relaxed, social dining with a menu that celebrates comfort, quality, and creativity and even boasts live entertainment every Thursday – Saturday from 12pm-3pm and 5pm-9pm!
Head Chef Robert McWhinnie and Pizza Chef Jack Montefiore have crafted a playful, yet authentic menu centred around house-made pizzas, signature antipasti, and familiar favourites done right.
Menu Highlights Include:
- Polpettini meatballs — beef, pork, or eggplant, served with sugo, pesto, mozzarella, and house focaccia
- Wood-fired pizzas with creative flair:
- Spicy: chilli tomato, salami, stracciatella
- Seafood: prawn, calamari, scallops, herb oil
- Truffle mushroom, Capricciosa, and a hearty Carnivore with sausage, pancetta & BBQ
- Unique options like the “Jack” with garlic cream, prawns, jalapeño & guanciale

- Dolce offerings including house made tiramisu and gelato from Mount Tamborine
