The countdown is officially on to the launch of one of the most highly sought after venue openings in Queensland this summer!

Kirra Beach House will open its doors from 11am on Friday 8 December, welcoming everyone to experience a new standard of hospitality on the Southern Gold Coast and an unbeatable beachfront rooftop location featuring a mix of jaw-dropping indoor and outdoor spaces, chic cabanas, wine and cocktail bars, and high-end event spaces for all group sizes.

Bookings are now open to secure your spot to soak it all in – perfect for Christmas parties, end of year celebrations with friends and the hottest new spot for New Year’s Eve (more details to be announced soon) and New Year’s Day where Bag Raiders has just been announced as the headline act for the ultimate party celebration to ring in the new year. The venue has multiple bookable spaces including beachfront cabanas for up to 25 people, luxurious leather booths, a private seafood BBQ area, and a high end wedding and event spaces for all group sizes. It also boasts three bars – a wine bar, terrace cocktail bar and Preston’s, an intimate cocktail bar that can also be booked out for events.

Kirra Beach House is a 1200 sqm elevated, chic beachfront dining, drinking destination that sits a level above the iconic Kirra Beach Hotel which reopened this week in the new Kirra Point Precinct. Inspired by beautiful beach bars from around the world, the new venue is unlike anything else on the Southern Gold Coast and is set to become this summer’s ultimate destination for good times, beautiful cocktails, incredible food and a weekly rotation of DJs and percussionists to soundtrack the coastal experience.

The expansive rooftop terrace that wraps around the whole venue will give guests front row seats and unparalleled views over the stunning Kirra Beach and city skyline of Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise from every vantage point in the venue.

Owned and operated by Dave Galvin, Director of SITE Hospitality (Kōst), Kirra Beach House has been in the making for the last four years and he is thrilled to open the doors with a supreme team ready to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience including SITE’s head of hospitality, Adam Keane, and General Manager of Kirra Beach House, Ashley Graetz.

“I can’t wait to see everyone in the venue from next Friday, we are expecting the opening weekend to be huge. The venue will have a beach club atmosphere about it, with great music, mesmerising panoramic views of Kirra, Mediterranean-style food using the incredible local produce we have on our doorstep, a world-class drinks list and, of course, great service”, said Galvin.

Head chef Drew Wilson, has curated a flavour-packed Mediterranean-style grazing menu that reflects the coastal location, will be perfect for sharing with family and friends and will suit any occasion. Think a mixture of classic and inventive snacks, raw and cooked seafood platters, delicious pizzas straight from the Marina Forni pizza oven, succulent steaks and signature burgers.

Wilson said, “We have designed a menu that is a reflection of our coastal location and the laidback lifestyle of Kirra, where our guests can come in at any time and graze their way through a variety of dishes made using incredible, high quality produce. Combine that with the unbeatable view and it really is the whole package.”

Guests can expect dishes like ‘Kingfish crudo with citrus vinaigrette, chive oil and floral salt’, ‘smoked ham hock croquette, fresh tarragon and mustard mayo’, ‘burrata with yellow peach, aged balsamic and smoked salt’, a ‘fried fish burger with pickled zucchini iceberg, tartare with fries’, a ‘crispy bug roll with gem lettuce and spicy mayo’ and an epic ‘cold seafood platter with rock oysters, daily crudo, Morten Bay bugs, and spanner crab remoulade’.

Bars Manager, Kaden Pool, has designed a seasonal cocktail programme that moves with the flow of day into night and plays on nostalgic holiday resort-style cocktails. He has teased a couple of the signature cocktails from the new list including the ‘Bahamas’ Champagne Piña coladas, a new spin on an old favourite that is made for summer sunsets at Kirra and will automatically make you feel like you’re on holiday, and the ‘Cancun’ spicy watermelon margarita providing the perfect respite after a hard day of beach adventures.

Galvin said, “The Southern Gold Coast has been crying out for a venue like this. We are so proud of what we have created and we can’t wait to share our beachside bar with everyone.”
