Back for the most anticipated racing season of the year, Aquis Park, home of the Gold Coast Turf Club has launched tickets to its 2019 Spring Racing Carnival program; an unmissable line-up of race meets and event day packages, highlighting the glitz, glamour and adrenaline of the Gold Coast’s premier racing destination.
Partnering with crowd favourite brands Gordon’s Pink Gin, Heineken and more, Aquis Park offers the Gold Coast’s only program of live racing events and exclusive off-track activities throughout the carnival.
For the first time ever, Aquis Park will offer an exclusive General Admission ticket to The Palms Super Saturday, transforming the venue’s beloved trackside turf into a lush, tropical party. The $25 General Admission ticket includes access to a decked-out trackside area, two drinks, street food, and a pop-up dancefloor with DJ boasting live entertainment all day long!
The Palms Super Saturday tickets will be available each major Saturday of the Carnival – Atwood Marshall Lawyers Caulfield Cup Raceday (19 Oct), Cox Plate – Lloyds Auctioneers and Valuers Raceday (26 Oct), Derby Day – Hot 102.9 Hot Tomato Raceday (Nov 2) and finishing on Stakes Day – LJ Hooker Raceday (Nov 9) with DJs Dan and Ben from Hit90.9 providing an epic set.
Ticket holders are encouraged to embrace the Gold Coast’s relaxed vibe, ditch their stilettos and suits, and enjoy a laid back day of live racing, entertainment and celebration. Aquis Park CEO Steve Lines said Aquis Park’s 2019 Spring Racing Carnival program was back, bigger and better than ever, with The Palms Super Saturday ticket an exciting addition to the venue’s already jam-packed event calendar.
“We’re rearing to go for the 2019 Spring Racing Carnival and are thrilled to be presenting a stellar program of premier race meets, luxurious functions and event packages, and on-track entertainment. The Palms Super Saturday ticket is a first for Aquis Park and is a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on our incredible General Admission offering throughout October and November.”
“With Aquis Park’s attendance figures growing year-on-year, and word spreading fast about our range packages to suit all tastes, I’m confident 2019 is going to be a record-breaking year,” he said. Aquis Park Racing Manager Ian Brown said the Gold Coast’s racing scene is absolutely booming, local stars like Tyzone and Winning Ways competing for Spring riches throughout the Carnival.
“Throughout the carnival, Aquis Park will offer nine weeks of live action packed racing both on the big screen and on-track,” said Mr Brown. “The quality of racing on offer throughout the Carnival is superior to anything else world wide. There is no better place to view it all than track side at Aquis Park!” he said.
A celebration of all things black and white, Derby Day – Hot 102.9 Hot Tomato Raceday takes over Aquis Park’s Event Centre on Saturday 2 November 2019. Now in its third year, the ultimate Derby Day Party by Moët Ice Impérial ($150) in the Event Centre will see thousands of guests indulging in the region’s most glamorous celebration of fashion, fun and prestige racing with nine Group Races, four at the elite Group One level.
“On top of the day’s fashion and hospitality events, attendees will view the AAMI Victoria Derby – Australia’s premier staying classic for three-year-olds – with more than AUD $2 million in prize money on the line,” Mr Lines said. “We’ll then finish the carnival in style, as the only venue on the Gold Coast playing the race that stops the nation – Melbourne Cup – on the big screen, alongside our own live racing program,” he said. Aquis Park’s 2019 Melbourne Cup Gold Coast packages include The Garden Party by Gordon’s Pink Gin in The Dome (from $229.50); a four-hour drinks package with Gordon’s Pink Gin on arrival, a premium buffet and live entertainment, with options to reserve tables of 10. Alternatively, guests can indulge in The Boardroom Package (from $280.50), which includes a seafood buffet and afternoon tea, premium beverage package and more.
Drawing the Carnival to a close, Stakes Day – LJ Hooker Raceday on Saturday 9 November 2019 is set to draw big crowds with live racing on the big screen and the final weekend to tale advantage of Aquis Park’s The Palms Super Saturday ticket. With a marvellous few months of racing events and stand-out dining and social packages available, Aquis Park, home of The Gold Coast Turf Club, is the only place to be on the Gold Coast this Spring Racing Carnival.
