BUT before we dive into all things fashion, lets first get to know our newest contributor a little better:
What motivated you to become an accredited Stylist in 2014?
I knew I had a talent to put together pieces that complimented any shape or size, I always had a love for fashion and helped so many friends with outfits and their looks. I decided to get qualified and tap into my talent. It has always been a love but I wanted to take it further to help people feel better about themselves and also make sure I learnt all the tools to be the best consultant I could be.
What do you love most about working with styling clients?
Making it easier for my clients and making them feel confident and most of all, happy! I love giving them inspiration and seeing them change. I literally see their face change – the SMILE is all worth it.
What is the most common concern you address for your clients?
The most common thing I come across is that people tend to think they should follow trends, however, they actually need to know how to dress for their shape and lifestyle. Education is key. You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars to look good and feel great. You just need the right advice and the time to figure out your own individual style. Also, every client has a part of their body they don’t like, so having this knowledge makes it easier for me to help them overcome any insecurities and feel more confident.
What is the biggest challenge you find when helping new clients to audit their wardrobe and refresh their style?
Clients lean on the same look without experimenting in different shops or the correct styles to accentuate their shape and assets. We can get complacent and often so lost with our wardrobes, it’s very daunting to experiment when you don’t have that second opinion. Whether it be going through a lifestyle change, having children, weight loss or weight gain – it can be hard to know where to start.
What are three things every women should have in her wardrobe?
- The perfect blazer
- That one reliable adaptable dress
- Go-to pair of Sunnies
Importantly, where can we find the best Margaritas on the Gold Coast?
Light Years lower Gold Coast Highway ask for the Classic!!!
