EVENTS & EXPERIENCES FOR GOLD COAST WOMEN

A growing Australian women’s experiences community is officially launching on the Gold
Coast, with Flourish Experiences bringing its welcoming social events, hosted
experiences and women’s travel opportunities to local women this winter.

Founded in Tasmania by former international tour guide and community engagement
specialist Jacqui Jones, Flourish was created to help women get out, meet people, try
new things and enjoy life more, especially when they may not have someone to do it with.
After building a strong and supportive community in Tasmania over the past 3 years,
Flourish is now expanding interstate, with the Gold Coast becoming the next home for its
growing calendar of experiences.

Founder Jacqui Jones said the focus of Flourish has always been about creating
opportunities for women to reconnect with life and with each other.

“Women aren’t lacking things to do, they are often just lacking people to do them with,”
Jones said.

“Flourish is about helping women say yes to experiences, friendships and getting out into
the world again.”

Importantly, Flourish is open to all women, not just singles or retirees.
Women attending events range from those in their 20s through to their 70s, including
married women, mums, professionals, business owners, widows, retirees, women new
to the area and women simply wanting more social connection and fun in their lives.

“There’s no membership and no pressure,” Jones said.

“You don’t need to be ultra-confident or know anyone beforehand. Some women arrive
nervous about attending alone and leave having made genuine friendships.”

Leading the Gold Coast expansion will be well-known Gold Coast radio and media
personality Ali Plath, who will run Flourish Experiences Gold Coast and host local events
and experiences.

Plath said she immediately connected with the Flourish vision of helping women feel
more connected and included.

“So many women are craving connection and wanting to get out and do more, but
sometimes they simply don’t have someone to go with,” Plath said.

“What I love about Flourish is that it removes that awkwardness. Women can come
exactly as they are, whether they’re arriving solo or with friends and feel genuinely
welcomed.”

The first Flourish community walk is already scheduled for Saturday 30 May at the Gold
Coast Botanical Gardens.

The official Gold Coast launch event will take place at River House on Saturday 11 July
2026 with a relaxed waterfront long lunch designed to bring women together in a warm,
inclusive and welcoming environment.

In addition to ticketed events and hosted travel experiences, Flourish will also offer free
and low-cost activities on the Gold Coast, including casual walks and social catch-ups
aimed at making connection accessible for more women.

The River House launch event will include a three-course lunch, cocktail on arrival,
giveaways, lucky door prizes and a sneak peek into upcoming Flourish events,
weekends away and travel experiences.
