On Saturday March 6th, The Heart of Women awards 2021 took place to honour outstanding women in our community that have made a difference.

Agape Outreach Inc. (Agape) founded in 2009 by Theresa Mitchell, has taken on running and staging these incredible awards which are there to inspire women and give them the recognition they deserve.
Agape provides support for the homeless and needy in the Tweed Shire and Gold Coast, providing meals for people on the streets and food hampers to families in need within their homes. Agape also supports people with doctor’s visits, court cases, life coaching and basic life skills training including barista courses, cooking classes, budgeting, and sessions for handling emotions, dealing with relationships and goal setting.

So with thanks to Agape, the 2021 awards were able to go ahead and the following wards were awarded to some of the most generous, inspiration women in our community.

The Ascend Financial Services Woman of the year was awarded to Vicky Rose.
The Eco Tan Young Woman Of The Year was awarded to Krystal Lee White.
The New Day cleaning Health and Disability award winner Tracey Rosser.
The Focused book keeping Making a Difference Individual Award winner is Diann Eadeh.
The Bendigo Bank- Tugun Making A Difference Group Award  Alyson Horne.
The Bendigo Bank – Tugun Entrepreneur Of The Year winner Jordana Edwards.
The New Day Cleaning Creative Arts Award  to Aarti Bajaj.
The Atlas Lawyers Youth and Children’s Services Award winner is Justine Woodall.
The focused book keeping Big Idea Award winner is Lynda Petterwood.
The Atlas Lawyers  Environment Award winner is Sarah Jantos.
The People’s choice award went to Zhanna Gee.
The Heart Award went to Lisa Souwer.
