2020 Gold Coast Music Awards Goes Virtual with Finalists now Revealed

PreviousNext

The Gold Coast Music Awards (GCMA) have just announced they will be going Virtual in 2020 to circumvent the devastating restrictions caused by Covid-19.

GCMA said “We are totally committed to celebrating the City’s creative gold this year and we’re unveiling 31 finalists across our eight categories and also announcing a new plan to deliver the official awards presentation virtually”!

The huge GCMA celebration which is normally held on the Surfers Paradise foreshore will be foregoing the flame-throwers and beachfront fanfare of previous years, instead they’ll be bringing the iconic awards presentations – complete with special guests and appearances – direct to your living rooms from 7.00pm on Thursday 30 April.

“While we can’t hold a big, face to face awards ceremony, we think it is really important to bring the community together, virtually at least, to acknowledge and celebrate the creative gold that continues to come out of this City”, explains GCMA organisers.

The winners will be announced via video from the Gold Coast Music Awards Facebook page from 7.00pm on Thursday 30 April, and will feature special iso-loungeroom performances from some of the city’s finest talent!
